Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, and Visitors, Peace and blessings to you. It is with great joy that I welcome you to Mater Ecclesiae College, Epe — a Catholic boarding school where faith, knowledge, discipline, and character formation come together in the service of holistic education. Since our establishment in 2015 by the Church of the Assumption, Falomo, Lagos, Mater Ecclesiae College has remained steadfast in its mission to provide sound academic training firmly rooted in Catholic doctrine and values.
As a boarding institution, we take seriously the sacred responsibility entrusted to us: not only to teach, but to guide, mentor, and form the whole person — intellectually, morally, spiritually, and socially. Life in our boarding community is structured to foster discipline, responsibility, fraternity, and respect. Within a safe and nurturing environment, our students learn the importance of prayer, academic diligence, communal living, and service to others. Daily life here is shaped by Gospel values and enriched through participation in the sacraments, spiritual exercises, and moral instruction.
We believe that true education extends beyond the classroom. It is about forming young men and women who are grounded in faith, guided by conscience, and prepared to contribute meaningfully to society. Our dedicated staff members serve not only as educators but also as mentors and role models, accompanying students on their journey of growth and discovery.
We thank God for the milestones we have achieved — including the successful graduation of our pioneer set in 2021 — and we remain committed to continuous improvement in all aspects of school life. As we look to the future, our prayer and commitment remain the same: to raise students who embody integrity, excellence, compassion, and steadfast faith — worthy ambassadors of their families, the Church, and the nation.
